Eleanor Mills
An Appliqué Afternoon
At the Mill Tye Gallery, Great Cornard, Suffolk
First solo exhibition by Eleanor at the Mill Tye Gallery where Eleanor reflects on her journey from growing up in a rural town to establishing herself as a professional artist, and on her rediscovery of the Sudbury landscape upon returning home.
Through a contemporary lens, she explores themes of memory, connection, and growth. Her works visually interpret an evolving relationship with the local area, drawing inspiration from childhood experiences of friendship and the nurturing qualities of the surrounding countryside.
Using textiles as her medium, Eleanor manipulates fabric into vibrant, evocative pieces that weave together past and present, offering viewers a deeply personal yet universally resonant narrative.
